Priceless portraits
Photoshoot (photography): a session during which a photographer takes pictures of a person (model) or an object according to a defined theme. The term comes from fashion photography. (1)
Collaboration: in the context of a photoshoot, a collaboration is a session without remuneration from any part, more specifically as a model and photographer: neither of the two is remunerated. (2)
It is an exchange of time (session but also preparation and photo processing), self-image (model), investment in equipment (photography, lighting, outfits, accessories) and costs (rental of premises, travel,...) in return for a result (photographies taken) where everyone (photographer and model) derives a non-financial value (experience, initiation, notoriety, fun,...), hence the used of the term TFP - Time For Print.
A collaborative photoshoot is a priceless portrait...
(1) The term photoshoot primarily designates a session where a photographer, usually a professional, takes pictures of a person or object for commercial purposes, such as publication in a magazine.
(2) In the context of a paid photoshoot, the applicant is the client (model, photographer or third party) and remunerates the contributor(s) (photographer, model or both ). A professional (photographer or model) can decide not to charge for a photo shoot (therefore collaborative shooting) if he/she wishes so (free session).
