It sometimes happens that the result of a shot holds happy surprises. This was already the case in the days of film photography, but at the time it was necessary to wait for the development of film to discover an effect that occurred unexpectedly, whether during shooting or when printing the picture.
This is still the case in the digital age, whether by artefacts created by the lenses used or by other phenomena unintended consequences of the shooting conditions (shutter speed, overprints, etc.), the main difference being that the effect is visible as soon as the shot is taken.
